The Accounts Payable Specialist will join our Expense Management team located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The candidate should be adaptable, eager to learn, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This individual will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of team processes and department-wide initiatives, if desired.

  • Manage a rotating set of vendor invoices efficiently and accurately
  • Perform quality control checks for other members of the team
  • Maintain strong relationships while researching and resolving vendor inquiries or disputes
  • Prepare payment files for check, ACH, and wire payments
  • Contribute to team reporting responsibilities and effective maintenance of controls
  • Assist in the continued development of team processes and procedures
  • Assist with the implementation of efficiencies and enhancements to the current process
  • Collaborate with the company-wide vendor management team to achieve common goals


  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years accounts payable and/or general accounting or accounts payable experience
  • Proficiency with PeopleSoft a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to seamlessly maintain effort and focus when priorities change
  • Results-oriented. Ability to execute multiple high-priority items simultaneously
  • Desire to succeed by delivering quality and effective results
  • Positive attitude even when faced with difficult obstacles, issues or challenges
  • High energy level and internal motivation
