  • Manage and enhance the financial close process for the organization;
  • Work on legal entity controllers team and responsible for GAAP reporting and analysis for several entities and processes  
  • Collaborate with other teams, including financial reporting, statutory reporting, planning and analysis, accounting policy, operations, compliance and internal/external audit;
  • Provide ongoing analysis and maintenance of processes and procedures used for compliance with relevant regulatory and internal requirements (SOX, FASB, etc.). Make recommendations for improvements/enhancements;
  • Assist with special projects as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or related field;
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred;
  • Big 4 experience preferred;
  • Minimum 6+ years of recent experience in GAAP reporting at life insurance or other financial services organizations;
  • Understanding of operational accounting flows for a life insurance company preferred;
  • Familiarity with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management and PeopleSoft or similar;
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
