This newly created position will support Global Atlantic’s residential real-estate portfolio working closely with the Loan Group on our Investment Team focused on residential lending . The loan portfolio consists largely of re-performing loans, but also includes non-performing, new origination, single-family rental, and warehouse financing investments. Global Atlantic is an active participant in these markets and is looking to bring an Asset Manager on board who can oversee the mortgage servicers and manage the loss mitigation activity. The loan portfolio is currently $2b and represents an area of growth for the company.

Responsibilities of the Asset Manager:

Oversee Global Atlantic’s residential mortgage loan servicers acting as a liaison between our external mortgage servicers and internal trading desk

  • Through the creation of reporting and through active relationship management identify watch-list items and engage the servicers in communication to discuss loss-mitigation strategy for mortgage loans as they roll delinquent to maximize return and limit losses
  • Develop reporting and work with traders to decision loss-mitigation activity
  • Work closely with Investment legal/compliance when initiating Foreclosure activities
  • Monitor status of all ongoing Foreclosures and ongoing loss-mitigation activity
  • Oversee listings for loans that become real-estate owned (REO)


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience at an investment bank, hedge fund, bank, servicer, REIT, or other investment office
  • A strong familiarity with mortgage servicing and residential loan loss mitigation including modifications, foreclosure, deed-in-lieu, and short sales
  • Strong personal initiative and desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Able to be highly productive in a fast paced, transaction-oriented department
  • Attention to detail
