POSITION OVERVIEW                                                              

The Senior Analyst position is part of the New York-based Global Atlantic Corporate Development and Treasury team. The Corporate Development and Treasury team are responsible for managing Global Atlantic’s capital and liquidity resources and profile, capital structure and debt profile, ratings, and banking relationships. The Analyst will work closely with a small strategy team and interface with business leaders and senior managers to:

  • Build financial models to be used in the management and analysis of the Company’s capital and liquidity profile. The Company manages over $3bn of capital across multiple capital frameworks and is consistently evaluating opportunities to deploy its capital base for reinsurance transactions, strategic investments, and insurance opportunities
  • Prepare materials used to support capital management decisions, including allocation of capital for strategic corporate initiatives, in addition to management and board-level presentations
  • Prepare information used in materials with rating agencies, investors, banks, advisors and other external constituents
  • Support the development and execution of liquidity management tools that will allow the company to manage its liquidity balances more profitability
  • Monitor financial market and insurance industry developments and assess their impact on the business and strategy

  • Undergraduate degree required with outstanding academic record and high level of personal integrity
  • Minimum of two years of experience in investment banking/capital markets or consulting.  Exposure to the insurance industry and/or experience in debt financing, and capital/rating agency management considered favorably
  • Strong analytical / quantitative and technical abilities, including modeling and optimization across multiple capital regimes, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible individuals who are both creative and commercial and are comfortable managing multiple work streams and projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
