Responsible for working with business stakeholders in strategic planning, analytics opportunities, and operation of systems that support Investment, Risk, Internal Audit, Business Development, Reinsurance, and Core Operations for Reinsurance & Investment systems. This team is comprised of solution architects and leverages consultants in the evolution and operation of our proprietary, SaaS and PaaS solutions that make up each function’s ecosystem. 


  • Works with business partners to develop and communicate a multi-year technology strategy in support of each functional area supported, and in alignment with the larger Technology Strategy and Reference Architecture
  • Works with business partners to develop technology based solutions to problems or opportunities
  • Works with business partners to advance/improve analytics capabilities and solutions
  • Maintains the technology ecosystems in alignment with Technology Guiding Principles
  • Ensures all systems and associated processes comply with required IT Governance and SOX Controls
  • Provides timely, accurate, and consistent application integration and support
  • Coordinates with other teams to identify and implement new solutions to support business functions at an effective cost
  • Assesses IT applications to determine their ability to yield optimal business results
  • Modifies existing IT systems or develops new approaches
  • Maintains strong relationships across the Technology Department and the Company
  • Develops annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and effectively manages expenses to the established budgets associated with functions supported
  • Effectively leads and utilizes resources in the delivery and support for stakeholders
  • Effectively develops resources through coaching and using the performance management process


  • Bachelor degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum 15 years experienced in technology including 5 years in supporting Investment and Investment Technology solutions.
  • Skilled in Agile delivery methodologies
  • Knowledgeable in Cloud technologies, such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Understanding of software development and how it’s leveraged within Quantitative Analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in solution architecture and application integration patterns
  • Experience, but not proficiency, in: Python, RDBMS/SQL, and general scripting technologies
  • Solid grasp of InfoSec constructs and management of PII/PHI/secret data
  • Ability to understand highly complex systems and data flows
  • Experienced in front- and back-office Investment business processes
  • Exposure to Investment Risk and Operational Risk activities
  • Understanding of markets, asset management/asset classes, and related accounting flows
  • Exposure to SOX/MAR, SEC compliance, and other relevant frameworks
  • General vendor management skills, e.g., negotiation, RFQ/RFP, etc.
  • Experience managing multi expansive technology budget across multiple departments
  • Demonstrated analysis and communication skills, able to connect technology and business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional groups
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames; self-starter with high degree of initiative, urgency, and follow through
